Bluebird, Chelsea

As I'm sat here on a sun bed, in a bikini I'm beginning to reflect on the sheer amount of food Emily and I devoured over the few days she came down to London.

I'm beginning to question whether it was a good idea for the old bikini diet.

Maybe I didn't stick to the diet so well, but do I really care when what I ate was as good as it was?!

The simple answer to that is no.

When I think back to the things we did when she came to London, one of the most prominent things that comes to mind is Bluebird.

As a religious audience member of Made in Chelsea I've always wanted to have a little wander in and so Emily and I did just that.

We quickly (and I mean quickly) pulled on some clothes and headed out to Chelsea.

When we arrived there we made our way past the outside cafe where women in white passed the early evening away sipping on champagne and made our way towards the lift that would take us up to the entrance.

There were stairs but the lift just seemed so much more fun ;)

When we walked through the doors we were greeted by waitresses dressed in a uniform of little black and white dresses, a uniform I really wouldn't mind HAVING to wear ;)

The atmosphere in the restaurant was electric. Well dressed men charmed beautiful ladies at the bar with endless cocktails. The people watching was one of the reasons we came and it didn't disappoint.

We made our way to our table which was situated right in the centre, a 360 degree view was on offer for us to take our pick of our next people watching victims.

I got a little too excited by the prospect of food when the menu was offered to us.

Both of us decided to be proper fatty's and have a pie.

But no this wasn't just any pie. It was a chicken, mushroom and ham pie. The chicken and ham were a perfect pair. We had additional gravy (and as a gravy lover this kept me happy) but the pie was juicy enough without it. The pastry was soft yet crispy on top, the perfect consistency to slice open and let the gorgeous flavours pour out onto your plate.

Green beans are one of my all time favourite vegetables. And they were crunchy, as they should be, yet still retained their flavour.

In the corner of this picture you may spy a few chips. Yes, we decided to share some even with a pie. Who can pass off chips?!

We both decided to have wine with our dinner. As usual Emily had white and I had rose.
Here I am pretending I actually know something about wine tasting...I smelt...grapes in it.
But I have learnt that I really love a blush rose. There is something so crisp and light to it, making it such an easy drink.

Handed over the desert menu we poured over the options yet nothing seemed to gain our attention.

So instead did a little posing ;)

And then decided we would head on over to the bar and sample the cocktails on offer.

Sourcing out the comfiest chairs, we sunk into them and studied the menu.

Emily caught me concentrating a little too hard on the menu. Choosing the right cocktail is an important decision ;)

We played snap happy whilst waiting for the cocktails which kept us entertained...

                                                           Until these beauties arrived.

I do wish I could tell you exactly what it was called, but I just can't remember the name. But I know it was a Bellini. I always go for the fruitiest drink I can find on the menu, and fruit mixed with champagne is what I call heaven.

It didn't dissapoint.

Emily went for the Berry Mojito. I'm not a mojito lover but this was beginning to change my ways, it was so refreshing and FRUITY and...just please try one for yourself.

We toasted away to the night whilst we gossiped about the past, the present and the future. The night slowly darkened around us and it soon became time to...

take that classy photo toilet before heading out onto the streets of Chelsea.

Before we made our way home we made a few outfit snaps.

I'm wearing jeans from Mango-
Jacket from Mango which isn't in stock anymore.
Top from Zara which also isn't in stock anymore sorry.
Bag is from Louis Vuitton.

Emily wore Jeans and blazer from Karen Millen.
Shoes from Gucci.
Bag Louis Vuitton.
And the blouse I am unsure of.

It was an evening full of food and fun, so good that I returned a few days later with my mother only to have the same meal and the same drinks.

As one of the waiters said to us "Anyone can eat at home yet eating at Bluebird is an experience"

An experience I will definitely return for.
