Moosh, Fulham.

There was no time to rest after arriving back in London after Parklife...one of my best friends from school, Emily, was on her way down for a few days and we had A LOT planned.

But first...before we get down to the FOOD, go on over to Emily's blog...she's been doing this blogging malarky much longer than me...http://alittlebitoflifeerh.blogspot.co.uk

After romantically embracing (we were separated for 6 months...), FINALLY parking her car (don't bring a car to london, ever) and lugging our bags on the tube we arrived in Fulham where her sister had kindly said we could stay.

Emily has been in Australia for the past year (not jealous...no...not at all) and it seems she has brought the weather back with her. We got out of the tube to glorious sunshine and decided the obvious thing to do straight away was well, eat.

Breakfast has always been my favourite meal of the day, I don't care what time of the day I wake up...I eat breakfast.

It's a meal you don't have to feel guilty about eating...it's the most important one they say ;)

Her sister recommended Moosh, a small cafe in Fulham.

I kind of fell in love with the place...

Inside it was set out like a garden, fake grass covered the floor and sign posts pointed you to                     everything you would ever need to know about the amazing place that is Moosh.

Although only small, the whole cafe had a bright, open feel about it. It felt like you were outdoors...indoors.

Moosh prides itself on "healthy indulgence to take you to that happy place". What's better than eating something that tastes A-MAY-ZING...say it exactly like that ;)...but is also good for you.

On offer they have every fruit smoothie you can think of or you can make your own.

You order your food...choose from a fully cooked breakfast, healthy granola, frozen yoghurt (yes, at breakfast) or PANCAKES.

You can even take a little bit of Moosh home with you...

They'll then hand you a customised banana with your favourite number on which you then eat.

I'M JOKING.

But I did think it was such a clever little touch that your table number was a fake banana, just makes the whole experience that little bit more quirky.

We decided to sit outside so we could soak up those very rare rays.

And they seemed to be having a slight effect on us...

I wasn't really enjoying Emily's company and so decided to turn away from her ;)...

Emily went for this...I say this because I can't remember what was in it sorry.

I went for a banana, strawberry and raspberry smoothie which I didn't have chance to take a picture of as I drank it too fast (It was goooooddd)

Now the real deal...we went for the Monkey Nut frozen yoghurt. The maple syrup with the banana and granola was perfection...only way I can describe it.

But then the real winner here was this...

I'm a real pancake snob and these scored highly.

Just look at that maple syrup...
As a cafe that promotes health they decided to pile the fruit on...although dipped into the not so healthy maple syrup.

Proud moment.

I really couldn't wait...

They were so soft, the perfect consistency...if you ask me, the pancake connoisseur ;)

Emily then dug in...

A little too enthusiastically as she dropped the fruit...typical ;)

Sorry for the extra long blog post but I just recommend this place to anyone. It's situated just off the corner of the centre of the Fulham so get going there NOW.

We liked it so much we returned the next day...but just for on the go smoothies.

Emily and I are planning on moving in together next year...and I am seriously judging a house on its distance to Moosh...we're going to develop a very close friendship.

P.A.R.K.L.I.F.E

"ALL THE PEOPLE, SO MANY PEOPLE"

Yes, that is a reference to 'Blur's' song 'Parklife' and all weekend I found my friends and I were randomly blurting out the lyrics unbeknown even to ourselves that we were doing it (the more we tried to stop ourselves, the more it just happened!)

There is a reason for this...this weekend I attended Parklife, in Heaton Park, Manchester. However, I only went on the Sunday and would have loved to have gone for the whole weekend (Snoop Dog was there on the Saturday...I mean come on?!) but unfortunately when I booked the tickets, Saturday was all sold out.

Festivals have always been one of my favourite events. A time when wellies become an object of fashion and the amount of mud on you shows how much fun you've had. Being a girl from the country...I like this ;)

For years they have marked the start of summer for me, whilst revising for various exams and truly believing the end would never come, I would stare at the lineup begging for it to just hurry up. For me, that festival was called Wakestock. A small festival held in Abersoch. Everyone from my area seemed to go to Wakestock and so seeing a familiar face wasn't that difficult. However, Parklife was a little different.

I think every University student in the UK was there. Okay, maybe a slight over-exageration, but I can honestly say there were quite a few people there letting off a little post-exam stress. Myself being one of them.

Having not seen my friends from home in a while, it was the perfect start to my summer. It really is true that true friendship isn't being separated, it's about being separated and yet nothing changes...i.e we're still as weird as always.

Parklife 2014

We arrived late in true 'us' fashion and because of the lack of signal sadly couldn't find our friend Eve and her boyfriend, who's flat we were staying in... (that made for an eventful journey home). Sadly we didn't get to see Sam Smith...but...WE DID GET TO SEE DISCLOSURE.

Now I didn't expect them to be as good as they were BUT THEY WERE INCREDIBLE. We snaked our way through the crows and ended up very close to the front. The atmosphere was on fire...literally, they had fire special effects ;) There wasn't one song that disappointed. The beat made it impossible not to dance, the whole crowd was singing and there was just an overall feeling in the air of being young and careless, probably a time we'll all look back on with nostalgia when we're older.
The whole set was an hour and a half...it honestly felt like 20 minutes...time really does fly when you're having fun.

Thankfully, the weather was nice to us. There was only a few times my trusty bright blue raincoat came in handy...one of them being as a sign for my friends so they could find us when we separated ;)

The whole weekend has got me too excited for Ibiza now, which I'm going to with three of the girls who I went to Parklife with...

Summer really has started!

Thursday 5 June 2014

Hola...

I honestly have typed and deleted words now for about half an hour and I'm very confused as to why I have come to the conclusion that actually typing EXACTLY what I am thinking will be the best thing...

All I can say is, good luck reading this blog...what goes on in my mind can sometimes be a little hard to comprehend!

There are many reasons I've decided to write a blog;

1) I've broken up for summer, the longest summer I have ever had and probably WILL ever have and I couldn't be more excited. For some reason, every summer I tell myself it's so long it basically will never end...I'm just going to have a life of freedom and long, long lie-ins. As much as I would love this to be true...it's not, September will creep up on me when I least expect it!

2) However, when September does come about I'm starting a new journey and I'd actually like to remember it and I thought the best way to do this is by parading my adventures all over the internet...this could be a big mistake...oopsies ;) I have just finished my first year in training at The London College of Music, studying Musical Theatre. As much as I enjoyed it, learnt a lot and met some incredible, inspiring people I have decided I want to take a new path. So...in September,  I will be a student at either Italia Conti or PPA in Guildford, I'm not going to lie I am very excited about this.

3) As this will probably be one of my longest summers yet I need to make sure I'm not spending everyday lazing on the floor, eating Ben and Jerry's whilst telling myself I'll work out in an hour or two and watching Gossip Girl episode after Gossip Girl episode (last summer I got a little bit too obsessed). I really don't want to have to roll everywhere in September ;) I will also be travelling quite a bit over summer, in both England and abroad and thought I'd take a few pretty snaps here and there and it would make a pretty nice read or browse through all the photos ;) I also will be home a lot over summer so for those in Shropshire...they'll be endless photos of ...fields ;)

4) I am literally OBSESSED with the Londoner's blog...I've been lucky enough to live in London over the past year and I'd just like to say...thank you Rosie, I've spent a lot of money on clothes you've suggested and eating out at restaurants you've suggested. You've really helped empty my bank balance ;)

5) I have no idea...just thought 5 was a nice even number ;)

So thats it chicos, I've got a lot planned for this summer so hopefully the next blog will be something a bit more interesting..here's hoping hey?!
